After much preparation and an almost year-long hiatus, we’re very excited to announce new Proximal Records music!
First up we have the “Lakes” Ep, by Manchester based Proximal new-comer Daniel Ruane. This bass-ladened collection of tightly executed dance tracks artfully stitches together field recordings gathered during a trip to England’s Lake District National Park into a compelling collection of sci-fi influenced soundscapes and dark club bangers.

This bass-ladened collection of tightly executed dance tracks artfully stitches together field recordings gathered during a trip to England’s Lake District National Park into a compelling collection of sci-fi influenced soundscapes and club bangers.
On LAKES, Ruane creates a lush sonic environment that keeps listeners suspended, unable to fully quantify the medley of textures that form his compositions. Though free from the gridlock of modern electronic music, Ruane anchors his tunes in decidedly electronic structures, sounds, and ideas. The EP is rounded off by a club focused remix by Proximal veteran, Wake.
